They're widowmakers from what I hear.

I would SERIOUSLY consider an E36 M3.. Tons of Bang for the buck.. Easy to work on.. Aftermarket EVERYTHING..

Don't need to mod for power.. just pick up a decent suspension, tires and you're good to go. I always look back to the e36 m3 as the go to car.. cheap enough to buy.. fast enough that you aren't always trying to go faster and if it ever breaks, you'll find diy with full pictures on how to do it.

I'm all in for the M.

I meant e36 from the get go. Any e46 M under 10 g's is probably missing the drivetrain. LOL

Couldve been a fluke. Suspension work is super easy to upgrade, shifter upgrades make the car fun to drive and simple software and intake exhaust upgrades REALLY make the car come to life.

The main thing was how shitty it was on the highway...steering was awful, car wandered like crazy and it felt like it had 400k miles on it. But maybe it was just that one h:

There are two couplings on the column that should be replaced roughly 30 bucks and 2 hours of your time.

The front suspension should be refreshed:

LCA + Bushings
Tie rods
Struts/ springs and mounts.
And
Rear Trailing Arm Busings

Those will get rid of any wandering issues (not counting tires)

Alignment also plays a HUGE part in the way the car handles. I've driven an e46 M after we lowered it and changed out the LCA's. The alignment was so off it handled like a yugo. ugh.. Toe+camber and caster were completely out of wack.
