i find it hilarious when people have absolutely zero spelling knowledge.

a couple weeks ago, i was on the phone with some dumb chick at a insurance claims call center... she asked for my location, and i said "LA, California." so she says "LA? how do spell that? E-L-A-Y?"

i was speechless.

I find it pretty dumb that you actually said "LA" instead of just saying Los Angeles.

its way easier and quicker to say LA instead of Los Angeles. im on the phone almost all day and theres no need to say the entire name every single time. its not any "more tiring" or "hassle" but its just easier. LA is the only abbreviated city name i say anyway. its not like ill say "NY" instead of new york. or "SF" instead of san francisco. and the person on the other lines know my office is in "Los Angeles, CA" so when they ask me to tell them my office address to verify, how the fuck can a person confuse "LA" as "elay" instead of Los Angeles when its right in front of their fucking face?!

OK I am about to extend my rant to dealership parts guys as well.

I went to the dealership to get the bolts from bellhousing to engine block and they didn't have any...but they wrote the sizing down for me and I headed back to Napa again and buy the "correct" size.

Get home and test fit them so I can hang the motor finally...guess what? Wrong thread pitch...and this is according to the size the dealership gave me...WTF!?!?!?! I don't want to go back to Napa god dammit

3/8 coarse is for bellhousing to tranny. I need bellhousing to block which apparently is metric at a 1.5 pitch...but it isn't that even though that is what the dealership said on it's computer.

this is fucking maddening and costing a grip in gas to the parts store for 12 fucking bolts.
