Btw, does it have to be SLI?

I'm going the other way though.

P35 Chipset 1333mhz speed proved and X-fire support.

Btw, I heard that Quadcore may not be that efficient in gaming compared to others. Multitasks = 2 thumbsup, but gaming isn't so quite

What are you going to use for cooling?
for cpu cooling? thermaltake 120 extreme or something like that

6k is overkill and you are getting stuff really not needed. You can buy a sweet kickass machine for $3500 CAD.

i'm going to transfer the dvd drive from the old rig

4GB isn't worth it as you'll only ever seen between 2.5-3.5 of acutal useful memory in windows due to it being 32bit.

Duo Core and Quad core isn't efficient for a lot of stuff because the program or game isn't written with the other cores in mind. Supreme Commander and Command and Conquer 3 are the only 2 at this time taking advantage of more than 1 core.

For cooling looking at something like the Scythe Ninja or the Zalman 9700.

6K can get you really sweet stuffs, including the monitors, which are half the price.

4GB is worth it running 64Bits version and doing extreme video editing and graphic programs.

you're correct about gaming efficiency on Multi-core CPU, same thing like I stated. h:

btw, I wasn't asking about cooling. I had the Ninja on my Current Rig (6600/P5WH-Dlx). It's efficient, but not enough. I may need to look WC next

No most games don't take full advantage of multiple cores yet. But it won't hurt and he's willing to spend to get it. So....

you've gotta be kidding me, they're 700 for a pair, at full retail. You can get them cheaper than that. I thought you were doing the dual 2407 at least, or better yet, 2 x 3007 h:
