boot drive: 300gb SAS on an adaptec SAS controller
storage: 2 x 1TB sata

I'm going the other way though.

1333mhz speed proved and X-fire support.
Btw, I heard that Quadcore may not be that efficient in gaming compared to others. Multitasks = 2 thumbsup, but gaming isn't so quite
