I'm excited my Fiancee just gave me $400 to use towards Final Fantasy XIV. $74.99 already went to preordering the collectors edition. So now I need a video card. Again, my board can only support ATI Crossfire. Any suggestions on what to get. I'll have 330 to play with, but if i need to put some more in to get something awesome i will.

for sub $300 single card solution this one is great

 

got the replacement and took me about 20mins to swap out.

ran furmark with both gpus and got 10423.. no idea what that means. going off to run 3dmark now.

Man, this GTX470 is a beast. I cranked the fan up to 100% and it sounds like an airplane is about to take off inside my apartment.


My co-worker said that FFXIV runs at 3FPS on his computer at max settings. He has the same setup as mine minus a few minor details.

 

3FPS? that's worse than Crysis!

 

What games do you plan on playing?

 

Right now I am only playing WoW and SC2. I doubt I'd play FFXIV since FFXI was a major pain in the ass. I might pick up an FPS, though.

 

crysis, crysis II, bulletstorm, medal of honor.

currently playing mw2 and bfbc will be getting sc2 soon
