Don't worry bro. They normally only explode under two conditions.
1. The bottles had some gunk in the bottom.
or 2. You did the advanced(And better) bottling method, where you add the sugar directly to the bottle. If you put too much, it will explode. Too little and there is not enough carbonation.

Well I'm off to the brew shop again. I think I will start making a Raspberry Pale Ale (or maybe another fruit flavor).

He would have to try to do that, in order to blow up his house just brewing beer.

So I cracked into my first batch of home brew (2 days early I know) and god damn that is some amazing beer. If you guys like Irish Stout then you better hope that Erik and I stop to see you because you are in for a treat :yumyum:. I honestly didn't know what to expect from my first attempt at making beer but I couldn't be happier with the way it came out. I wanted to make something similar to Guinness and that's what I did. I didn't expect it to have all the qualities of Guinness plus added complexity. I really enjoy this beer and can't wait to share it with some of you HANers on our trip. My second batch of home brew is in the initial stages right now but will be ready for the trip. I can't wait
