Sorry I have no pics...the wife has the camera. I'll get pics of it when I bottle it and even more pics when I drink it.
I tried some after 6 days in the jug. :reechy: Its going to be good. It wasn't very good then, but I can tell it will be.

If you just get the kit, you only need to boil water. If you go the advanced route with hopps and extracts, then you need to cook the hopps. If its your first batch, go with the kit, then work your way up.

read the intro and the crash course and you are good to go...if you want to learn everything then read it all.

I'm thinking that would be the best way to go since I don't want to screw up the first batch too much. which beers are some of the easier beers to try and brew first? I started reading and the advanced stuff is way too much for me to attempt for my first try, I want something a little more basic for my first batch.

The beer kits are easy. You buy the kit, buy malted sugar(If you choose malt), yeast, finishing sugar and thats about it.

I transfered the beer to a new container for secondary fermentation last night. I siphoned a little bit into a glass to see how it tastes and I was quite impressed It's not quite as dark or bitter as I would have liked (I really wanted it to be close to Guinness) but it was quite good. Maybe it will darken up a bit with time. It still has a week left to go through secondary fermentation and then another week to sit after bottling.

So far so good :yumyum:
