If the XD felt the best, then that's the one you should get. Shooting comfort is key, because it will make you want to practice with it more and it'll be easier for you to handle in case of emergency. I've not shot an XD, but I've held one and it was a very comfortable firearm.

That said, I'm not sure where all the Glock hate is coming from in this thread. I can understand not liking the Glock because of ergonomics or features, but Glock's reliability & build quality rarely comes into question. I've put about 2000 rounds through my Glock 22 without a SINGLE failure, and my roomate's put around 4000 rounds through his without a SINGLE failure. Yet the one guy I know with an H&K USP had to send it back to the factory after about 50 rounds because the firing pin broke.

The only time I've heard people complaining about Glocks feeding is when they try shooting reloaded ammo, something about the feed ramp means Glocks don't like it. I don't reload, so it's not an issue for me, but shooting factory ammo I've heard of very, very few issues.

Same here. I have never had any issues whatsoever with my Glock. The manual even states "Do not fire reloaded ammo." But thats the only issue I've heard with them also

I like my 92FS a lot, I have shot a Ruger P90, and it was real heavy and very inaccurate.

I shot Wills friends Kimber. That thing was super accurate. at about 25yards i was picking off coke cans with 1 shot...

Wills 9mm it would take me 3 shots to zero in on the can.

USG model of FN5 seven is legal in ca

SS190? that's illegal, only for sale to military or law enforcement. I believe the non-ap SS196? SS195 are legal.

Whoa, where did you get that 700 dollar price range? Those guns can be had in CA for around 500 or so dollars... give or take a few bucks. I can get the XD for a tad cheaper. Anyway, get whatever fits best in your hand. For me the Glock feels better. If I had the get the XD, I would get the 5 inch tactical model. Those things are super accurate.

And wow, so much Glock hate. I'm not one of those Glock fanboys but I give respect where it deserves. You can beat those things to death and they'll still work like a cham. I've fired 3500 rounds through my 17 and it has never failed me.

Screw them both and get a sig h:

Ya I know a guy that has a 226. First trigger pull is long but after that the shots squeeze off so smooth. Bit pricey though. They have a "baby" version of it now too
