On-campus shooting v.VaTechmyfriendsgothere:sad:
what the hell for? you already know my stance. and as i've said all along, i'm speaking in general terms. read that article i posted.
No, I don't. You keep saying it's violent movies, games, and music. That's the only things I've seen you post about in this thread. So, I want to know exactly what you think the causes were that ended up taking 30+ lives.
is because they are scared of the repercussions from the local gangs
which they should be
is it wrong ?
yes!
will it change?
probably not!
as My dad says
NYPD needs to get back to good old fashion police work
walking the beat and living in the community ect..
example: my grandfather lived in the Bronx and patroled the Bronxs
he made detective in no time.
people had no problem talking to him cause he lived in the Community.
too many cops don't live in the community they patrol
i mean, you have people frivolously spending to look "cool", getting themselves into debt, instead of planning for their future. you have people lighting themselves on fire trying to replicate a jackass stunt. you have amateur fight clubs that sprouted up everywhere after the movie. you have people that hate law enforcement without ever having been arrested. you have kids killing their parents to "escape the matrix". hell, you have kids hanging themselves to death after seeing saddam hanged on the news... etc. etc. etc. i mean, what else do you need as proof?
and once again, i never said movies, games, etc. are the root cause. pay attention.
as for me stating what i think caused the death of 30+ people? it would be pointless. first of all, it'd be a guess at best. i'm not pouring over the evidence daily, trying to figure that out. nor am i a detective. nor am i trained in psychology. and the only person that knows for certain is dead.
but yes, i have my guesses, some of which you've seen in this thread, and some you haven't. either way, it would be pointless to post.
i mean, you seriously want to convince me that media doesn't influence people? then for starters, explain to me the "do not try at home" disclaimers on so many TV shows.
