Suspect reported held in fatal Va. Tech shooting
One person dead; perhaps up to eight ‘multiple victims’ reported

BLACKSBURG, Va. - One person was killed and seven or eight more were shot in a dorm and in a classroom on the Virginia Tech campus Monday before police arrested a suspected gunman, officials told The Associated Press.

ugh, this stuff sucks. i have a lot of friends that go there. i even had siblings of friends visit there over the past weekend for pre-orientation events

 

Hope they are all ok. Did you check in on them?

 

im looking through my phonebook now. im kinda scared. thing is, most of my friends live off campus, so im wondering if any of them were in class when the shots went off. it completely sucks someone had to die b/c of this garbage

 

number escalated.

On the Web site, Tech reported the shootings at opposite ends of the 2,600-acre campus at West Ambler Johnston, a co-ed residence hall that houses 895 people, and said there were "multiple victims" at Norris Hall, an engineering building.

 

That really sucks about the death, hopefully the wounded survive.
You're friends and family are gonna be fine, what are the odds that they are one of the few that got shot.
ps I'm not trying to belittle the situation, i'm just trying to be positive.

 

wow...it just went from around 20 injured...to atleast 20 DEAD...this is horrible
