actually, this is exactly what my brother and i were talking about the other day. cops need to get into the community and start talking to people. they need to create relationships with the community. instead, the only time most people see them is when they're driving by or reacting to a crime. i don't think that's the sole reason for the bullshit going on though. i mean, rappers have been preaching "the rules" for the past 10-20 years, and i do believe people are listening.

no, i don't keep saying that. i keep saying that it's a factor, it is an influence, not the sole cause. and i seriously do not understand why it is so difficult for you to make the connection.

i mean, you have people frivolously spending to look "cool", getting themselves into debt, instead of planning for their future. you have people lighting themselves on fire trying to replicate a jackass stunt. you have amateur fight clubs that sprouted up everywhere after the movie. you have people that hate law enforcement without ever having been arrested. you have kids killing their parents to "escape the matrix". hell, you have kids hanging themselves to death after seeing saddam hanged on the news... etc. etc. etc. i mean, what else do you need as proof?

and once again, i never said movies, games, etc. are the root cause. pay attention.

as for me stating what i think caused the death of 30+ people? it would be pointless. first of all, it'd be a guess at best. i'm not pouring over the evidence daily, trying to figure that out. nor am i a detective. nor am i trained in psychology. and the only person that knows for certain is dead.

but yes, i have my guesses, some of which you've seen in this thread, and some you haven't. either way, it would be pointless to post.

i mean, you seriously want to convince me that media doesn't influence people? then for starters, explain to me the "do not try at home" disclaimers on so many TV shows.
