specially the new XBR2/3 LCDs. the one thing that really really annoys me about projection is the viewing angle both horizontal and vertical. it's pretty shitty compared to LCD/plasma/CRT
Me too. We have an older Sony LCD proj....picture is outstanding on it.

so basically all of the older models. I see the 40" XBR1 and such. but you can easily argue that nearly all manufacturer will have refurbished products for sale as well. that doesn't necessarily mean they are products to avoid. if it did, I doubt you would ever buy anything.

true, but in my case space is an issue so a rear projection screen is too big. I really can't go much larger than a 46", and I need the flat pannell for the space saving room. I've got a really tight area to put the TV.

i dig... i was just surprised at how much of a price difference it was... Was planing on getting a LCD myself but after checking it out i am leaning toward LCD projection for way cheaper! The size doesnt really cause me a problem i mean it's only 45CM deep.

I just wonder about the image quality (specially black i hate when it appaers to be grey) and the viewing angle problem Rick was talking about. i should go check it out...
