staggered doesn't improve grip. infact stagger is used to induce "understeer" it's a cheap way of making the car understeer, this is one reason why car makers started doing this on "sports cars"

you're better off starting with stock wheels and some cheap tires. that way you will learn a whole lot more. stickier/wider tires hide a lot of mistakes that the driver makes, stock tires for the most part will show every mistake you make.

Because at least 18" is required for the 14" BBK that I'm going with
so you're after looking fast instead of going fast huh?

and ISO certification doesn't mean shit. ISO only outlines what minimum that is being done and guess who sets that minimum? that's right the very same company that has the ISO certification. it's all about having written procedures, doing what is written and being able to prove that you do it. It really has nothing to do with "quality"

Thanks DakarM for the explanation.

I tracked the OEMs and it doesn't hold up so well, even with some decent Michellin Sports (OEMs)

Reason I meant by better grip with bigger is that I'm going FI soon and I need to transfer those as much to the road as I can. Udersteer can be balanced out because I can induce more oversteer to counter that with my latest suspension setup.

Also, my brakes, even with Dimpled and slotted rotors, better Goodridge SS Lines, Endless pads, and Motul RBF600 fluids, it cooked after two runs on the mountain. BBK will definitely help with the fades and cooling. I gotta admit, this is also my All Show & All Go project, that's why I'm going to get the BBK (Hopefully Endless )

Also, I'm just saying what I read about Rota company. I know what ISO mean, but at least that proves that they do have some quality control. My company had to go to ISO 9006 Audit and a lot of quality assurance and control had to be done in order to get certified.

Snoopy got that right.

I already spent close to 4K on my other wheels setup, I'm not going to spend that much on my beater set.

I'd rather save it toward something else...

it's not meant to but it's wayyy cheaper than getting dedicated rubber that you can only use on the track.

Going FI will only make the problem with traction worse. You can induce oversteer but it's a lot easier to do than you think with same size tires on all 4 corners. It's all about technique and it take practice, practice, practice. Seat time will make you think twice about going FI or other modifications.

I'll be willing to bet that you don't need dimpled/slotted rotor or SS lines and I don't know what kind of pad compound endless is so I can't comment there, and ven motul brake fluid. 2 common things that causes brake fade. 1. over use/wrong use of the brake. 2. not enough cooling. If you spent about $100-200 on proper cooling ducts, and another $150 on proper track brake pads, I'll be willing to bet that will fix some of your brake fade problem. The first one is a problem with the driver that can only be fixed with someone more experienced helping you in the car.

but you basically don't know what ISO certification is about right? I have 5 years exeperience as an ISO internal auditor and I helped create the ISO internal documentations for a company and helped that company pass the audit. ISO again has nothing to do with qc/qa. It's simpley documenting your procedures, following it and be able to prove that you do what you say you do in the written procedures. so just because a company is ISO certified it has no bearing on if they produce a "quality product."

here is my recommendations if you want to hear it.

instead of trying fix what you believe to be are "problems with the car" educated yourself as a driver instead. spend that money on two or 4 or 6 HPDE (high performance driver education) and you'll start to see where you are falling short. get the advice of those who are far greater driver than you and follow it.

unless this really is just for "show" then you can disregard everything I said above.

Pretty much it. Drive skill > any parts.
