On the other hand, documenting who is here as a temporary worker has very real benefits to our government and society, so a lot of reward for a very small increase in risk.
Why close the Northern Borders the Candians are harmless :reechy:

But in all serious I see what you are getting at, but where are we going to find the sufficient manpower to process all of the bureaucratic work.

Of course the prosecutor would say that. Especially one with 10 cases against law enforcement officers in less than 6 years

There are specific protocols in place and these officers blatantly did not follow them. It's as-if they knew what they did was wrong. Therefore, I hope this serves a lesson to other BP agents and LEOs that they do not carry an immunity card or a get outta jail free ...
The only real violations made by the agents here are breach in protocols, which shouldn't carry 20 year prison sentences.

Other issues
a) One of the agents was actually assaulted by the dealer
b) The dealer was breaking the law
c) The dealer is related to the another Border Patrol agent who brought the charges against the 2 agents
d) Why the heck was the dealer offered immunity (which he promptly broke by continuing to deal in drugs)?
e) Why was the dealer treated medically in the US?

so you're saying his prosections are unjust and LEOs should not be scrutinized?

That's an interesting article. I should read up more on this to form a better opinion (Especially after reading other articles at WorldNetDaily.com and realizing that site is full of crap)

Yeah every case he has tried against LEOs should be scrutinized, because it seems as though he has a thirst for law officers.

I am not saying he does but 10 cases in 6 years seems a bit high.

which agent was assaulted? to my understanding they just noticed the guy by a van start running. they had no idea what was in the van and a person running away does not warrant an officer to shoot at him.

if a cop did that here in the city, that cop would be prosecuted for a cover-up. whats the difference between that cop and a bp agent?

i agree the dealer should be prosecuted, but so do the bp agents.

perhaps theres issues within that area that needs to be addressed? if covering up LEO-related shootings is a normal thing around there, something should be done to discourage it.
