unlike most of you, i think these BP agents deserve to goto jail. Their actions show that they're the same as corrupt police officers. The only real violations made by the agents here are breach in protocols, which shouldn't carry 20 year prison sentences.
Other issues
a) One of the agents was actually assaulted by the dealer
b) The dealer was breaking the law
c) The dealer is related to the another Border Patrol agent who brought the charges against the 2 agents
d) Why the heck was the dealer offered immunity (which he promptly broke by continuing to deal in drugs)?
e) Why was the dealer treated medically in the US?
