Keep at it Spanky. I started back jogging & lifting a couple of weeks ago. I'm not going as often as I should...but I'm pacing myself. I've got 5 months to get in shape...so I'm trying not to push myself too soon.

You gotta walk before you can job. Good luck with it and congrats on starting.

If your heavy don't run too much. I used to be on the chunky side and running alot was wearing out my ankles/knees. Aerobic excercise is important, but there are other ones, like eliptical, that will stress your knees/ankles/arches less. Doesn't mean don't run, just mix it up with some other cardio stuff.

That's a good walk. I need to get off my ass and go out walking the dog more often.

I'm not expert but I lost 10 lbs after leaving basic and it just consisted of running and small cardio exercises that you would never think would make you lose weight...The weight that I dropped was a shitload of fat and gained alot of muscle too.

Try simple keeping your arms out straight, shoulder height and clapping them above your head, sounds dumb, try it.

Jan 4th I started the "Master Cleanse" for 5-days. Drank the lemonade, cayenne pepper and grade-a maple syrup. That's it. Nothing else. I went from 203 to 194. Since then, I've been eating WAY LESS than I normally do. Chicken breast, fruits and veggies, and high fiber cereal. I'm now down 184 with a target of 175. After that, it's going to be cardio and lifting. The cleanse made me feel better than I had in 10 years. I'm glad to see you're doing something about overall health. It doesn't get any easier as we get older. Keep it up dawg!!!! The most important thing I did, was to break old habits.

Don't get too skinny muh-brutha, cause everyone knows that Big Luther Vandros sang better than skinny Luther
