Right now I have 37 and I believe I need 65 for my A.A.S.

This semester I am taking 16.

If she's 24 she should have some financial backing right? Does she have family to fall back on?

This is just me speaking and this is just my 2 cents.

Congrats on uhhh yea, having a kid. I honestly right now would work towards my Associates. Then when the time is right, go and get your bachelors. Your a man that is determined as you are already in your 2nd time at school from what i'm seeing.

Depending on your field you can make good money with just associates. You're not putting college on hold with nothing to show, as you would have something to show. I know everyone is saying keep going to school, but i mean come on, let's be real. It's going to be EXTREMELY hard working, going to school full force and taking care of a baby. What use are you burnt out?

This is just my perception.

Well... Both of us are currently in debt. Her mom will probably help her a bit with her finances and my family will probably help a bit with mine. However, I am trying my best to break away from reliance on my family. Ever since I got out of the corps they have been spoiling me. I am trying to become independent. This situation makes that really tough.

Pete, please dont take what I said in the wrong way. Im just making sure that shits yours...again, not assuming anything either. But you gotta do what you gotta do. Have you even "tried" to ask her if "its yours"? Im sure thats a hard thing to do, even when you said yourself that your not 100% certain. But youre a class act so you'll do the right thing.

Well, I am certainly going to ask for a paternity test. I mean, I know it is going to make her think that I don't trust her. She always assumes those kinds of things. It's just I like to be certain about as many things as I can and anything can happen (as I am finding out with this situation).

The priciest thing you'll have to worry about are diapers, maybe $20 a week or so.
No, the pricest part is child care. That can cost more than some people's rent a month. You just have to have a plan and stick with it and make sure you have all your bases covered. There are programs for student parents out there that subsidize childcare costs. I would definitely look into it. Some daycares have massive waiting lists. Its best to get a jump start on that whole deal ASAP. Get your name on the subsidy lists and the daycare lists NOW if they're long if you both plan on going to school/work full time.
