LOL well he obviously didn't take it too serious I would assume. Nothing wrong with having fun but I definatley wouldn't have gotten blasted the night before having something important to do the next day. I'm pretty good and responsible with that kinda stuff.

the girl i use to see was an ex-marine & a sherrif's deputy....she was actually a firearms instuctor. pretty tough chick & could probably take a good bit of the guys in here LOL....but god was she hot!!!!

anywhoo, working at the club, i have met the majority of the officers that patrol the downtown area & they are all very cool guys.

when my car got vandalized in a parking garage, i caught up w/ one of them to do an accident report so my insurance company would waive my deductible. he told me "insurance company won't accept a hit & run report on private property, but will if it was parked on the street, so be parked on the street when i come back thru in 10 minutes....."

saved me a $500 deductible

good luck to ya

So I got home from work a little while ago and got a letter in the mail from the New Jersey State Police Department. I sent in my application a while ago and I was invited to the next step in the process which is the PQT (physical qualification test) on August 29th, 2007 (my dad's b-day) at the State Trooper Academy in south Jersey. Then once I pass (being confident) i'll be invited to the written examination 2 weeks following the PQT.

I'm so excited! Next week i'm taking my physicals and stuff I need to take care of before the testing and i'm going to the gym everyday in the morning before work. Gonna need to be in tip top shape.

I worked for a sheriff's department for 2 years in Florida and just left there in January. I'm now in California going through the testing process again. Each agency is a little different but typically you submit your application and then they invite you to take their version of the written test. In FL it was done by computer. In CA it was a multiple choice test with a fill in the blank at the end. In 2-4 weeks they come back with your test scores and invite you to take the PAT. After that you'll usually undergo the background investigation and then take the psychological exam, polygraph, and medical examination. In FL it took me about 8-10 weeks total from date of app to appointment. I applied to 2 agencies here in CA in February and I'm in the middle of processing with both. Takes a lot longer here because of the amount of competition. I think I'm looking at an academy offer in October or so if everything keeps going smoothly. But yea pay and benefits are great. A lot of people don't like officers/deputies but its because of the ones they've encountered or they're looking for someone to blame for their fuck ups. I always treat the person I'm dealing with with respect and I usually get it back. You always get the occasional asshole but thats the way it is. If you have any other questions feel free to ask

When I graduated high school, my goal was to work my way up the ranks of SMPD and become a profiler for the FBI.

I didn't go through the process, but I'd love to know you set your goals high through the dept.

Many clouds of smoke.

I stopped smoking long enough to tell the truth about my smoking it, but when I realized I wasn't going down that path, I blazed it up. lol I actually did an internship with SMPD and a couple of ride-a-longs in college, but just couldn't do it.
