Yea my brother told me that's what is college professor told him. His teacher was/is a detective not sure. They get paid little more just with that degree but either way having a college degree helps a little also as opposed to just a GED.

I had a friend who failed out of police academy for Oakland. Basically, from what he said it's similar to Army basic with a little less shooting and a little more classroom.

Yea, right about now i've reached that point in my life where I want to do something positive and at the same time would be something I would enjoy and be in a career where advancement is good. Although i've been thinking of doing this a few times last year, i'm definately going through with it this year.

Should be ok then.....my sister just joined the Army in september and graduated in November from bootcamp. I know what they go through and although it won't be easy, I can say I got the balls and mind set not to give up and graduate.

Just make sure you're on time and not hung over. That's what got my friend kicked out.
