I think I gave this advice before ...
Maybe you can reset her expectations. Go home and give her a swift judo chop to the forehead. Do this all the way up till xmas. When she doesn't get one on the 25th ... she'll really think you gave her something special.

Call her mother, sister or best friend or whoever and ask them what she's been hinting at or what might be a nice gift idea for her. They'd be tickled that you'd want to make such a thoughtful effort to "get it right". Or email them, its easier. It kinda depends on if you live with her too. If you do, then you can get something your house/apt needs or something soft and fluffy. if you're not cohabitating, refer back to the 1st idea.

I usually get her a few gift cards to some stores she likes. Mainly because I know she likes shopping for clothes, if I go with her there will be a fight and "I'll never shop with you again" is said by one of us (yet we go again) and I just suck at buying clothes anyway.
BUT, I only use the gift cards as like filler gifts. And I always do something fun with them. Like put them inside 5 boxes nested inside each other and they are Duct Taped closed each, so she has to work for it and it's just a gift card. :chuckles:
She enjoys it, it's fun.
