what president would publicly acknowledge that their party is gonna get its ass kicked, regardless of how true it is?

A good president would. Truthfulness is what people want not a liar who tries to cover things up. He could've said something like "Time will tell, if the Democrats win then good for them" but no, instead he decided to be all cocky and stubborn by insisting all along that Republicans will win even though he knows they won't. It's the same thing with the Iraq war. He's been saying all along we will win but I think he knows that we won't. It's already lasted longer than WWII, the violence is getting worse and he still says we will win.

WHAT!?! longer than ww2? ww2 was 6 years long....iraq war started in 03...thats three years. and you cant count desert storm, because there was over a 10 year gap of direct action between the us and iraq. as well as a reseloution to the actions in early 90's. another thing, i for one wouldnt want a president who admits defeat before it happens. its one thing to tell it how it is. but how would you feel as a soldier if u saw in the news that the president came out today and said well looks like we are gonna lose, its not over by a longshot but we are def gonna lose. yea great morale booster. of course hes gonna saw we will win. the minute you admit defeat, you are by default defeated.

the retards only count WWII from our direct involvement (December 1942) to August 1945 instead of when it truly started, which was what...sometime in 1939.

December 7, 1941 - September 2, 1945 = 3 years, 8 months, 24 days
March 20, 2003 - November 8, 2006 (present) = 3 years, 6 months, 18 days

Not quite as long as our direct involvment in WW2, but pretty close.
