Laptop Crew
Im just going from what he told me. I dont see why they wouldnt though
I told her about the Wal Mart sale, but I guess shes heard bad things about Compaqs. I have no beef with them. I kinda like them. How are Dell laptops rated? Customer Service?
See I have a Toshiba and I don't like it. My battery is shit. Lasts 35 minutes doing nothing on it. This was when I first got it.

edit: and you don't want your sony battery to explode on you
ibm is by far the best. toshiba, fujitsu and acer are pretty good. but fujitsu is usually a little higher end, meant more for corporate use. acer doesn't have a good selection in the US. they make the Ferrari notebooks in Europe

plus i can point out about 15 people in my company who have ibm laptops with the faulty batteries. not to mention if yours is faulty it will be replaced free of charge.
other than that your right, hp/compaq sux balls
I had an HP completely shit the bed on me after 2 years, needed a new mobo to fix and there was no point by then. A bit after the first year it had developed so many bugs that I needed to reformat/reinstall just to keep it running.
I replaced it with a Sony that's been doing fine for 2 years. It's thin, light, good screen, quiet, long battery life. Not exactly the speediest at this point but I'm probably going to throw together a desktop of some sort to complement it. I think it's a pre-recall model though.
