Cardio and Weight training in the same session do not go together.

Other than about 5 minutes to warm up or cool down, never, ever mix the two.

They are comepletely counter-productive if used in the same session.

Not really Dom.

If you do cardio before you weight train, then you will use all the energy in cardio that your body has readily available, and then you weight train, and your body will cannibalize muscle until you quit.

If you do cardio after, all the muscles you tore and and growth effect that you got from lifting will be eaten by the cardio that you do, because your body will need energy, and cannibalize muscle to feed itself.

Exactly. I either separate days, or do cardio in the AM, lift in the PM.

i worked at a fitness club and "public" saunas are so very disgusting. my stepdad has one in his house. very relaxing.

edit: i'm up to running 2.5 miles a day and am starting advanced Pilates i'm going to start weight training at the station next week. yessss
