Well here's the wrench in the system.

Price wise LCD>Plasma>ED>DLP>Projection.

The plasmas are TONS cheaper, but there are lots of downfalls, image burning being the biggest in my opinion. They do offer super high contrast ratios though. ie 10000:1

DLP and Projection are sharp and vibrant, but you have to take into consideration viewing angle and longevity.

In any case, each set has its own pros and cons. For me, the high contrast LCD was the way to go. A little more money, but thats why I work.

Just go out a look at the tvs and choose one base on picture quality. Remember that the feeds in store are not average broadcasts.

make your best adjustments and read up on some other video dedicated forums. avsforums.com

If you can afford that TV, buy it. Samsung is doing well in that market. At least you'll have your feet wet in the HD world, and you'll have better knowledge on your next purchase in years to come.

Bolt that MF to the Wall with a lock & key h: and post pics when surround sound is connect

"sick" being to normal peoples specs, or sick to, it is so good, it will make you violently ill if you play it to loud?

If you want the latter, get a hold of me and will can talk h:
