Well here's the wrench in the system.

Price wise LCD>Plasma>ED>DLP>Projection.

The plasmas are TONS cheaper, but there are lots of downfalls, image burning being the biggest in my opinion. They do offer super high contrast ratios though. ie 10000:1


DLP and Projection are sharp and vibrant, but you have to take into consideration viewing angle and longevity.

In any case, each set has its own pros and cons. For me, the high contrast LCD was the way to go. A little more money, but thats why I work.

Just go out a look at the tvs and choose one base on picture quality. Remember that the feeds in store are not average broadcasts.
