I have a Samsung 40" LCD and its fantastic. BTW, samsung manufatures the panels for other big name big dollar brands (see sony).

My tv has a 5000:1 contrast ratio and is pretty nice..

is 720 the max display? if so, it'll downscale a 1080i image to 720 - not getting full image quality.

Only reason I picked up the lcd is becuase with 1080p coming out you'll be left behind the curve.

JMHO though.

i picked up the samsung lns 4092

thanks for your input, but is it a good buy in terms of price? (the TV that I'm looking at).

Edit: I also saw this from a different brand. Not exactly a Samsung, but the price looks right.

of the unknown brands "Syntax Olevia" owns all. The picture quality is razor sharp and the price is great too.

I don't know much about Insignia.
