It may have, it may not have. There's no way you can say the outcome would have been different.

that's a huge maybe. one that it's not even worth mentioning, given that france had not scored in over 100 minutes when he was taken off the field.

goals in soccer are never guaranteed.

besides, just like i said before, if him staying in it would indeed have made the difference, then he should have kept his cool.

I wanted France to win.
That headbutt by Zidane was awesome. Yeah, it was stupid...but come on, in the heat of the moment when somebody says something to piss you off, you're not gonna sit there and think of the consequences of knocking him on his ass.

And, I think the ref lied about seeing it. They were out there for a while asking if anybody saw what happened, and eventually the guy came up and claimed he did...:bs: There are like 3 refs...if one of them actually saw it, it wouldn't have taken that long to come to a decision.

Not to mention that the only two goals scored on Italy the entire cup were on an own goal and a penalty kick...which was a ghost foul to begin with.

Maybe maybe not, but the bottom line is, was the penalty unjust for the foul committed? There's no way that couldn't have not been a red card. It was intentional contact that didn't even involve the ball. The penalty fit the offense.

i hate when a world cup finishes in a penalty... I also hate that italy won, i wasnt particularly for France... just didint want Italy to win.

I applaude Zinedine!!! good for him, those fucking italian player should learn to respect a legend. The ref didnt even see it. I am pretty sure he saw it on the giant screen or maybe never even really saw it, yet he still gave the red card. that is the biggest bull shit, they can't call something they dont see.

those dirty players dont deserve to win. They did i am not tkaing it away from them but they dont deserve it.

Doesn't matter. If the ref didn't actually see it, he's not allowed to make the call. Those are the rules of soccer.
