who the fuck was promoting violence? it was the damn illegal supporter that attacked the "counter-protester", as they described him. just goes to should how fucking clueless these people are..

and in tune with the typical boston liberal view.. "majority view", only because the fucking media keeps covering that side..
WTF????

The attacker, described as a Hispanic teenager, went after one of three white people carrying signs arguing that illegals have no rights, police said.
"When you promote violence, you get violence," said the Rev. Virginia Maria Rincon, one of the organizers. "Our rally is about promoting a peaceful dialogue."
HOW DA FUCK does having signs that say illegals have no rights promote violence? WTF are they doing by holding up those signs to legalize them? Wouldnt it be promoting violence since some of those people actually hurt innocent Americans in order to get as far as possible from the border to a safety haven. I have known many friends and family's who have gotten their cars stolen, beaten down, had guns to their heads... at picnic places, including ones in Forth Huacha *thats a military base just incase u dont know* by illegals. WTF does that promote if they are protesting that those fuckers have free citizenship? thats bull...

I disagree only on the point that the need will fill itself. A lot of American citizens who are currently unemployed can't or won't do those jobs. Many have disabilities or other issues keeping them from working labor jobs. Those who can, can usually find something better. So I'm not really convinced that things will automatically get better. BUT, I agree on principle.

[edit] Actually, I realized my mistake. They should just start offering "farmworker" and "hospitality" visas or something.

The traffic for certain exits on my commute home was crazy because of the protests.

i know exactly how you feel.

on a side note, i was talking to other tourists today about the situation (they were SOL with transportation also). if anything, the protests today just pissed them off, and now they'll go out of their way to vote YES as retaliation

you are here legally. that is what is important. i should change my statement from "we as americans", to "we as legals", or something.. hehe

hell, you're more american than these people protesting for undeserved rights.. in fact, you should be one of the most offended.

my brother just made a comment that is right on, "why dont they go back to their own countries and protest conditions there?" m-f'in :werd:

Thank you! I'm glad someone that's not a citizen is willing to voice this view.

I'm actually waiting for the feds to pass the law that makes it a felony to be here illegally. I'll gladly enforce that law, and so will virtually every other police officer I know.

I'm all for legal immigration, I'm all for people wanting to come here to live the American Dream. I'm not for people coming here illegally to force me to adopt and "embrace" their culture.

It's called the American Dream for a reason; Because it's American!
