This is how I feel. My mother emigrated to the US, learned English, took the citizenship test in English without a translator, and was sworn in. She always felt that it was wrong of people to come here, not speak the language and not want to give up their loyalty to their country that they left for possibly economic reasons, or other oppressive reason, for a better life.

I agree with the following:

Theodore Roosevelt's ideas on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN in 1907.
"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language... and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Theodore Roosevelt 1907

White people claim they're stealing all these jobs, but I have yet to see or hear about an illegal immigrant steal a job that required any sort of education.

Again I'm not in support of it, but failing to see the benefits of such people is going to lead to faulty arguments.
I disagree with your comment almost 100% (surprise)

As I have said many times over. If there are jobs people will do them regardless of the kind of job it is. The problem is we have come to rely on illegal workers and the low wages they are willing to take. Add to that the fact that US raised workers are inherently lazy.

Argue it all you want but look at it realistically....what are the high paying jobs? Computers, finance, and office type jobs. At the same time someone has to build the house you live in, the office you work in, and the roads you drive on as well as grow and harvest anything you eat.

Take the illegal workers out of the equation and the need will fill itself. There may be a rise in cost of general goods, but then that just goes to prove that these farmers and other industries are injuring our economy by hiring illegal workers. You will in time see our economy grow again through increased productivity as well as a larger taxable populous who are much less reliant on public services such as health care and welfare type benefits.

As for DJs comment on singling out Hispanics...hardly. You will note that in my comments I mention Hispanics because they are the bulk of illegal immigrants, but I have also stated repeatedly that I don't care where an illegal alien is from or what race they may be...IF YOU ARE HERE ILLEGALY THEN GET THE FUCK OUT AND DON"T COME BACK....WE DON"T WANT ILLEGALS HERE!! If you are here legally and working with a visa or through proper channels I welcome you with open arms and want you to come and be here.

I know many who have come here through legal channels and paid thousands of dollars to gain citizenship. Every one of them has complained of the cost to do so, but they also want to do it the proper way so there is no legal repercussions if they are caught. I have a Russian friend who currently is going on $25k worth of debt in legal fees to get his citizenship because his student visa has to be renewed every year as well as his work status. He is a good guy and just last night we were talking and he himself said he wishes every illegal would be deported because why should they get a free ride while he pays.

thats what gripes me the most really... i think my parents would love to get their 30K+ dollars or so they paid to get us through here legally while other people crossing over illegally are getting in for free h: im not a citizen yet either, im still a permanent resident... when i do take my citizenship test and oath... and if illegals are granted the same because of their prostesting... mine better be free also cuz if they dont have to pay the 400+ dollars neither should I h:

just my fucking luck. i spent the day at the national mall and encountered this bullshit:

http://www.washtimes.com/national/20...4546-1898r.htm

they congested the entire area, spanning from the washington monument to the capitol building. all of the metro stations were packed...it looked like a fucking ant farm. i ended up having to walk two miles back to the hotel. a taxi wasnt an option because of the damn congestion they caused. what disgusted me the most was they were chanting "U-S-A!! U-S-A!!" WTF? pay taxes like the rest of us, then claim this as your country. complete bullshit!

i really would like someone to ask these protesters if they intend on paying taxes if they're legalized. utter bullshit.

and check this out.. ain't this some shit? http://www.boston.com/news/local/mai...ration_reform/

"When you promote violence, you get violence," said the Rev. Virginia Maria Rincon, one of the organizers. "Our rally is about promoting a peaceful dialogue."
who the fuck was promoting violence? it was the damn illegal supporter that attacked the "counter-protester", as they described him. just goes to should how fucking clueless these people are..

and in tune with the typical boston liberal view..
Not everyone agreed with the majority view.
"majority view", only because the fucking media keeps covering that side..
