that house is similar to my parents old palce in colonial heights virginia...cept ours was a tad bigger and the garage was on the other sideh:

 

i like houses where the garage enters from the side.... kinda like #1 in Jae's post...

 

Everything in my area is in a "gated community". I hate housing developments.

In Seattle you can get a 3bd/1br, 2000-2300sq ft house for about that price.

 

in my immediate area. 500K is a downpayment IMO.

i have second to smallest house but with many upgrades. cheapest is around 850K.
