ATi or nVidia?

i was about to say the same thing. nvidia mobo chipsets work very well with their video cards. I've heard that ATI cards can be pretty flaky when paired with an nvidia equipped mobo. With an Intel chipset equipped mobo, i've had no problems from my AGP 9800XT, but now that's old technology.

Well that seem logical

It seems for the most part it's just a matter of personal preference, there must be no real, substantial difference between them so I guess it boils down to price.

While the 7800 series cards are all the rage today, now way in hell am I gonna pay $300+ for one. I think I'll get a 6600GT and call it a day.

if you dont know which you should go with then make an educated decision according to suggestions and the best value for you

i say 6600gt

Come on Grif, you know there's people who prefer one over the other for one reason or another. I am not fishing for suggestions on what card to get as much as trying to get the pro's and con's of the two chipsets and what, if anything, makes one better than the other.

neither is better. Some games work better with Nvidia, some work better with ATi.
I personally haven't had problems with either.
