NFL has a STRICT dress code. Huge fines for shit like not tucking in your shirt, etc.

I don't see why this is such a issue. Atleast look respectable while you make your 5 million dollars a year.

Hmm, now I just think NBA players a gigantic pussies. They get company endorsements, millions a year, and fame. Yet they whine over something as stupid as a tie and suit. They do nothing for the economy, yet there's 4 people at Bozrah Light and Power a mile down the road that are in charge of providing electricity to three different towns and I bet nobody ever mentions them, or earn millions a year. And there actually doing something for the economy. This is why I despise sports. If its about the love of the game then fine give up your Nike endorsement and give 3/4th's your money to charity, buy a 3 room single floor house, a nice car, and basic fucking cable. 5:19am tired rant.

There are drug dealers from all walks of life, not just from the "hip hop" culture. And the NBA is going to lose culture if it tries to blend in with the crowd.

Anyways, I think this rule is BS. You shouldn't judge the players based on their clothing. You should judge them by how well they play.

This superstar mentality created by the NBA further drives the common person away from the sport. Let's look at the facts ...

These players get paid millions to play a game.
I get paid 5 figures to do something I hate.

These players can go to work looking how ever they want.
I have to wear clothes that aren't the most comfortable to look professional.

but they bitch and whine about having to wear a suit? Come on. If you don't like the dress code, nobody is begging you to work for them.

If this truly effects who they are and is such a huge injustice to their character ... I want to see someone so offended, they leave it all behind. Do that, and you got my respect.

You're comparing yourself with NBA players?? The players are entertainers, you aren't.

Still, a job's a job. The workplace, even if it is a hardwood floor, isn't that persons home. Even if they do get millions to shoot a rubber ball through a net, they should still act professional. I'm pretty damn liberal. But even I draw the line somewhere. Now they need to take there millions of unearned dollars, shut the fuck up, and do what the boss says.

I personally wouldn't want people representing the NATIONAL basketball assosiation looking like a random person that just walked off the street and onto the court.

There very fucking fortunate that they can live an INCREDIBLY easy life and the only time they ever have to pick up a pen is to sign a 7 million dollar contract, or an endorsment contract, or an autograph. Man I haven't slept in two days.

You think that NBA players live an incredibly easy life? Guess again. They work out like you wouldn't believe. Most NBA players arent millionaires either. They're also going to have less endorsements because they just lost a huge piece of their individuality.

There is no individuality in team sports. One team, one goal.
