But yea, I know I suck. But I should be getting better...I did 2 miles in 20 mins a couple of weeks ago.

There is a great DVD out called "The Breathing Gym" made by Pat Sheridan and Sam Pilafian (two of the best tuba players in the world). It has some really great breathing exercises in it. It is kind of cheesy, but the content is awesome. You can really feel a difference when you do them.
i used to be able to run 6 minute miles (8th grade) now it's around 8 after i tore a ligment in my knee last year. this was after 6 years of track and 3 years of football. Just pick up a sport and vary your work out to avoid the plateau.
