workout squad: question
I used to tilt my head forward, back, and to the sides while resisting with my hands. My traps grew very fast by doing so. I did about 20 reps in each direction every morn while waiting for the shower water to get hot.
I know you said "besides shugs," but there are a number of different ways to do them that all seem to work them a little differently. You can do them with dumbells, with a bar, with a bent over row machine (my personal favorite), pulley machines, etc. One way I often see people do it is with a pulley machine set down at the ground. You then grab the strap with one arm, brace yourself against something with the other arm, and do the shugs. When you get done with a set for that side, switch to the other. Doing it this way works your traps at a much different angle than the traditional way, and might be something you want to look into.

good setup for cuts... if you want bulk then i'd go for more like 3 sets of 6 reps

Iw as actually implying that setup for Bulk...Alot of the time with short Reps and Sets you are using shoulders with your traps..More sets really helps to isloate the Traps alot better then you would thing..it cuts the delts and makes great mass results on the traps..you should try it.
