Oh well I guess I will start the phone search for the helpful info I seek.

It wasn't meant to be a slam on you. Instead of always hearing the obvious line of "why would you want to carb an FI car" response I wanted to hear any experiences with it and why a person would choose it over the FI system. If a person is putting it on a race car then there has to be some advantage to it and I want to know what that advantage would be and what the tradeoff is in the end.

Well I was giving the opinion of why I wouldn't do it, which goes in your line of reasoning there. I think that carbs breathe a little better at WOT, which would be why people would run them...short runners, no intake tube, etc. Almost all of the Honda race cars I've seen have run fuel injection and a standalone EMS...it's far superior. You could always just run ITB's like Chris said. Best of both worlds. The breathing of a carb at WOT, tunability of FI. As for converting to carbs, I wouldn't even know where to start with converting the wiring and ECU.

I see where you were going now.

One of the reasons you gave is why I am thinking of it...WOT breathing.

Since its a strip vehicle bound for the 1/4 WOT is going to be its main throttle position. I know they are a little tough to idle at times but thats not really much of a drawback when it comes down to it.
