I see where you were going now.

One of the reasons you gave is why I am thinking of it...WOT breathing.

Since its a strip vehicle bound for the 1/4 WOT is going to be its main throttle position. I know they are a little tough to idle at times but thats not really much of a drawback when it comes down to it.
