That's exactly what I was going to say. Any white smoke coming out of the exhaust? Check in the engine bay for residue of dried coolant, it'll be green, kinda mossy looking, and look for leaks in your coolant hoses somewhere.

The following morning I started it up and drove straight to the dealer. Again the needle stayed halfway (normal), until I stopped at the dealer and let the car sit at idle (started to climb so I shut it off).

It turned out that the hose going from the radiator cap into the reservoir bottle wasn't seated correctly in the bottle cap, so there was a ton of fluid in the reservoir, but none of it would go back into the radiator. I think I may have pulled on it by mistake when changing my oil the day before :dunno:

You know what i think that might be the problem. Here's the setup i just got the resevoir from a dealership i still have to wait for the cap and the rest of the tubing to come in. So to prevent my radiator from puking antifreeze all over the engine i went to vato zone and bought a tube that went from my radiator and into the resevoir. Now i noticed just 3 minutes ago that when driving it was cool but when i stopped, it went right up again. So i got out the car and saw how most of the antifreeze was in the resevoir and none of it was going back into the radiator. Now is there something special about the OEM setup that makes the antifreeze go from the resevoir to the radiator and so forth? If so im gonna let my car cool off for a while then im gonna put the antifreeze that puked over back into the radiator and try to make my way to the graveyard to buy a piece for it.

This should help answer your question:

http://auto.howstuffworks.com/cooling-system7.htm

Now this reservoir bottle hose, are you hooking it up to the radiator cap? The radiator cap sends excess coolant to the bottle (when things get hot), and pulls it back in when it needs it back (when things are cooler)...

Did your car not come with a reservoir bottle hooked up to the radiator cap?

When i bought it..No it did not have a resevoir tank and i never noticed it cus i never thought to look for something like that. But i think what was just shown on that link is showing what my problem is. I might head down to the junk yard and see if i can find something that would work for me

is your oil chocolate milkshake looking? if your thermostat is bad, why not fix it yourself? its like 3 bolts, maybe 20 minutes if you take your time.

I never seen a coolant puddle yet and trust me i look for them. When i went out to Gville that was the farthest i had ever driven the car for such a prolong period of time. Maybe de.fused might be right about my Thermostat going bad. At least I hope it is. I'll have mr mechanic call all the area you guys just mentioned above.
You sure there's no air trapped in the cooling system? Run the engine at idle with the pressure cap off, to let any trapped air work its way out. If you were so low on coolant, that might be what happened when you filled it up.
