I never seen a coolant puddle yet and trust me i look for them. When i went out to Gville that was the farthest i had ever driven the car for such a prolong period of time. Maybe de.fused might be right about my Thermostat going bad. At least I hope it is. I'll have mr mechanic call all the area you guys just mentioned above.
You sure there's no air trapped in the cooling system? Run the engine at idle with the pressure cap off, to let any trapped air work its way out. If you were so low on coolant, that might be what happened when you filled it up.
