Your friend is a moron, the guy in the STi was clearly not trying. Haven't you ever stayed neck and neck with a kid in a far slower car when you could have easily blown by him? I dunno, maybe it comes with a bit of maturity.

No, maturity causes you to skip the race altogether.

Um, I would call some of your friends' cars getting stolen a problem.

You're gonna get killed on insurance with either an Integra or an Eclipse. You may want to try and find something that is a bit newer and does not have quite as high insurance premiums.

Going back to your original question, you can't just say which one is better. What's your budget on the car? Who's paying for insurance? Who's paying for gas? Who's paying for maintenance? Who's paying for repairs?

These are the practical concerns you have to think about even if you're not necessarily looking at the most practical car(s). That's just the nature of being a young driver.

Oh lordy now you gone and done it.

VTEC is a Honda engine technology, VTech is a company that makes cordless phones and educational children's toys.

LSVTEC is a general name for an engine which is custom built from an LS bottom end and a VTEC head. It is not a specific engine.

Before you start asking any more questions like this, you need to figure out how you're going to pay for the car itself, how you're going to insure it, how you're going to put gas in it, how you're going to maintain it, and how you're going to fix it if need be.

Once you have that stuff taken care of then you can worry about stuff like 1/4 mile times.
