worst phone bill ever

(just realized i sounded a bit dickish there. didn't mean to)
you can also try to call up verizon customer care and complain directly to them or a supervisor. tell them that your phone is broken and not receiving calls (or some BS story). sometimes what they'll do is either qualify you for an early upgrade (depending on how long you've had the phone and how often you make your payments on time etc) or apply some kind of credit on your account so you can buy a phone at full price. hope that helps out.

Well my phone was alright for a while. After a few months it started to become outdated. After two years, forget it. By then it is so outdated that it is a pos. I have never had a company before tell me I couldn't go and buy a new phone if I wanted to. Verizon is the only company that wouldn't allow it and I think that is bs. It wasn't like I was asking them for a new phone. I called them numerous time and every time they said there was nothing they could do. F verizon.
I work for nextel...and all the customer care is the same. they are call-center-dumbasses that have probably been working there for a total of a week. Just have her call and she'll get another call center rep. I hate having to call into call centers...it'll work, I promise. I work with those morons all day. Anytime I have to call I usually end up hanging up on a few until I get one I like...

another thing that might help, have the RadioShack associate call up verizon and see if THEY can convince verizon to add the credit onto your account. if that doesn't work, they do have a verizon rep they can get a hold of and do that sort of stuff for you.
thats a pretty bad bill
similar thing happened to me when i changed my plan for my cellphone. i got a national plan. and basically they erased all my other option like my text messaging. so i was paying 10 cents per message without knowing. and i'm suppose to still have my free unlimited text messaging. good thing one of the person i talked to made a note. but she didnt add it on. so they took off my $90 charge for text messaging

the RadioShack guys in your area are idiots then. i've done numerous activations like the one i just mentioned. they just don't want to sell the phone because they don't get a spiff bonus if they sell it like that, or they don't know how. it's approaching the holiday shopping season though so i'm assuming there's a bunch of newbies in training that don't know what they're doing. anyways, you gotta go with the service that works best in your area. i hope the new one works out for you.
