That's because Dean turns red, his brain melts down, and he starts foaming at the mouth. Who can argue with a lunatic?

Zell was right on point. He was clear, concise, and telling the unabated truth about Kerry. That's precisely why none of the democrats could argue with what he had to say. But it's their responsibility to argue with the truth for the sake of having a different view, so they pick on his tone. I tell you what, he's voted with the democrats plenty of times using that same tone against republicans. That's just Zell.

We can hear many different arguments from each candidate before making up our minds. The Electoral College was made to protect our country from ignorance(which at the time was the thought to be the common US citizen). But guess what we aren't ignorant anymore. I would argue that the average US citizen hears enough info to make an educated decision on their own. I personally think the Electoral College never really worked anyway. But I have to go to class now and don't have time to argue that too.
Who was your teacher in Government 101?

You don't think there are any ignorant people left in this country? Look all around you, man! God gave us all the right to choose. That gives us all the unlimited capacity to make mistakes.

He came off as angry...he should be. he also came off as passionate, and was just brilliant.

and yet Carter and Nixon were called in to handle diplomatic relations 20 years after Carter left office because no one else knew how to handle the situation.

Worst President....I don't think Carter was as bad as you think, I really doubt you were even alive to see his presidency anyways.

I did not mean to say that there are no ignorent people in this country(I reread what I wrote and it did kinda come off that way). However, I do believe that there is a much smaller percentage of people that are so uninformed that they cannot make an intelligent decision as to who they want running their country that it would warrent an Electoral College.

Doesn't tick me off at all. You assume any of these speeches are going to change my decisions...sorry but we can argue this shit all day long and I am still choosing who I am because my mind is made up.

Glad it makes you feel good...I got other things to do.

Well I for one, think the majority of this country doesn't have enough of an education to make an intelligent decision about who our commander in chief should be. So I leave it up to the intelligence of the other VOTERS that are smart enough to turn out in PRIMARY elections. Those are the people that exercise their American rights to help decide WHO is IN the electoral college of their own local governments. The system makes perfect sense to me. Getting rid of the electoral college would be a disaster. Don't forget it's what kept Bill Clinton in office throughout his presidency. Not the popular vote. I'm glad Democrats like him.

HERE ARE HIS STATISTICS FROM THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE.
Electoral/Popular/Year/ President
70.5******49.2*****1996*****Bill Clinton
68.8******43.2*****1992*****Bill Clinton

Get rid of it so Bush can be elected by 70% of the popular vote, please. Lets see what everybody actually accomplished in the primaries. Kerry ain't gonna win the popular vote.
