Even if what you say is true and there are countless illegal immigrants voting I still think the Electoral College is a bad idea. It was created before we had TV's, radio, and before most people even read the news paper. Now we have public debates that anyone can watch on TV. We can hear many different arguments from each candidate before making up our minds. The Electoral College was made to protect our country from ignorance(which at the time was the thought to be the common US citizen). But guess what we aren't ignorant anymore. I would argue that the average US citizen hears enough info to make an educated decision on their own. I personally think the Electoral College never really worked anyway. But I have to go to class now and don't have time to argue that too.
