Really? I did not realize that. Always thought that the WRX was good in professional rally racing.

The WRX always makes me think of drifting though.

Ah who cares. It's still pretty to look at. Wouldn't mind having one meself.

KAUAI KANE = I realized that after DakarM's post. Thanks though I was talking about professional rally racing though BTW.

....mmmmm....drifting....

If not I say spend the 24K on a brand new car and be done with it.
Well I found this on the internet and only have talked to him on phone so we havent even talked about that yet. I just wanted a price so I dont drive 25 miles to see a over-priced wrx but he said it was fully negotiable. The last used wrx I was looking at had a 1year warranty. I will probably drive down there today in my free time.

I will pass on the drifting. Since its rainy here I just want a AWD car that handles good and I will be more trying to make handle better then anything.

20,000 was the lowest I got him with out giving him a credit report for the 04 wrx. He said we could renew the warrenty. He was very nice and not pushy and said give im a chance, come back with your dad for the credit report ( dad would co-sign) and he said he would even match that 24,000 for the 05. I think if I can get him to go into 19K range I might pick it up. Have to wait tell 1st week of september though.

Is this from Carr Subaru? If it is then tell them your price point with extended warranty is 19k and no more aside from closing costs. If they say no way then tell them you will continue your search with a dealer who is willing to make a more concerted effort to get your business.

They screw people all day so put them in the pinch of wanting your business and show them that you can wait to get the car you want without it bothering you in the least. Make sure you don't just make an empty threat but after you say that stand up from the table and offer your hand for a goodbye shake.....ten bucks says he stops you before touching your hand and starts getting more creative about his prices.

No carr subaru I went to yesterday. They wanted 24,000 for a used 02 wrx and I basically told them it was too high and im leaving so they said well what if I could get you a 05 wrx in that range. I told them I have other cars I need to look at. I went to the subaru place in Oregon City and they were a lot better. The guy claimed the whole time that there is no way they offered that and in the end said he would match it for me. I told him I would be back the 1st week of sept. He said no problem take your time.

No idea what im going to though. Have to wait tell the 29th, 30th until I actually get a check to fix my car or buy a new one.

Thanks though, this guy seemed nice and said it was negiotable so I will lay down the 19,000 next time I go.

I've seen WRXs with fewer miles in the 18k range (and below) but an extended warranty is worth something and maybe just the fact that it's an 04 if you like the redesign. $24k for an 02, is that a joke? Even with 0.00 miles on it might go for $22k or less.
