Sorry for the problems man.
lol, i dont know how people pack things but when i pack it, i stuff the WHOLE thing with packaging shit. the person who sent my downpipe left the box half opened and no packaging inside. well, at least usps knows whats inside and it isnt a terroist threat, lol.

So we can wait for government-set crash testing for postal items?

this is bullshit, here is the latest...

buyer talked to UPS and they are gonna send an assessor.... he will decide whats broken and whats worth fixing (as if he knows a mother****ing thing about engines) then he decides what the damage is worth and cuts me a check for it, at which time, UPS told the buyer to pay me my difference.... this will be the last time i send parts before payment. im going to lose my ass on this deal and im furious. if i dont get 100% payment here, UPS will never see another dime from me

i ordered one of my guitars and had it shipped from UPS one time.
the guitar comes in a kind of triangular shaped box, and that is within a rectangular box
something had punctured both boxes completely through, and barley missed the headstock of the guitar
i was very pleased

Yup, UPS does suck. I am the buyer on this one. The assesor doesnt assess anything. all he did was bring a wireless PC over, and typed in all the information on whats wrong, how the box looks, and how it was packaged. Then, that little file gets send to the insurance compay, where they do a "point system" to see if they are liable for it, and how much you get. i did give him the quote from honda, which was for $433 b/c a new soilinod from a dealer costs $410, and then there was 2 bolts bent, and a extruding pipe from the head was flattened.

O yeah, James did get his money, just to clear stuff up.
