Hey, guys.
So, I am on that intersection today, waiting on the red light. There is that 2000-2001 Civic in front of me. The green light goes off, but the civic is not moving. aparently it died. So the driver is trying to crank it in, and suddenly there is big cloud of white smoke just busted out of his tailpipe. I mean, there was so much smoke, I could not see the damn car. And I hear him trying to start the car, and every time he turns the key, there is more smoke coming out. I mean, I feel sorry for the guy, but at the same time I'm thinking: That civic is only 3-4 years old, what did you do to it? I mean, what could that be? His head gasket? his rings?

 

Was it modded?

Could just be neglect. Maybe he never changed his oil.

 

true, my friend got a 2000 civic like new very low miles from dealer and she didnt change the oil or anything for over a yr close to 2 yrs and the car die n the highway all smoke and stuff. got it tow and spend like $1k to get it back running.
this just remind me of a old old nissa 4wheel drive that was at the shop today and the lady hadnt change the oil n 8months and it has over 156k miles on it, all i said to her was , nice way to make ur car last. she argue with me that there is no reason to change the oil because she doesnt put over 3k miles on a yr, am like wtf is either 3months or 3k whichever comes first and she still didnt get it heh a 14yr old vehicle such a good vehicle and terrible owner

 

well that sucks.. i'm guessing he probably did somthing stupid to the car and it jacked it up and caused it to happen.. also that would be hella h:

 

Had a civic in the shop last week, I'd say it was an 01, but the oil ring on one of the pistons had given out, or it was gone (can't remember), but it was burning all the oil pretty damn quick. Could be the same thing...

 

Dude expect her back in shop soon.

 

i love people that dont belive in changing their oil. I guess all the oil change shops are part of a big conspiracy. Changing oil is for loosers! Heh...i feel bad for these cars!

Thats nothing....My friends dad has been having an issue with one of his cars ( nissan sentra ). He swore up and down that his car has a major problem.
Car has no power to it.

He changed everything spark cables, cap, etc.....but never changed the spark plugs. Once he changed it [problem solved.

So for the past 1 he has been driving around on only two cylinders.
Two spark plugs were very very very vyer very bad.

 

dang..two? yeh...thats mad power loss, glad it got fixed.

cars are so much fun to diagnose, so many parts can go wrong.
