not everytime. btw i forgot to use spacers provided with the motherboard. but everything in the back lined up fine.

What happens when you hold the power button?


Did you happen to wire reset to power and vice versa?

their should be some screws that are the shape of a hex. they raise the board a couple of millimeters off of the case. i think the washers just go on top.....sorry no pics...its been about 2 years since i did it to mine

sounds like your front panel switch isn't hooked up to the frontpanel IO on your mobo.. i had the same problem when i got a new case for the GF's puter. what mobo is it BTW?

ill check the connections again. the fan seems to come on randomly when i press the power button.
