hrmm if his dad co-signed for the loan then how would he have not known that he got an s2k? Am I smelling a hint of bullshit in the air? I could be wrong but stranger things have happened. Not trying to offend anyone.

thats the thing his dad never cosign for him so he had to give the car back. If his dad cosigned for him then he could keep the car.

Hmmmmmmm.....i dont know what you do exactly but if your clearing or even making 50k a year then i dont think you need the permission of your parents to buy the car. After reading some of the other replies i understand about the co-sign but i wouldnt imagine that you would need a cosign if you put $4500 down. All i can say is that if your making that kind of money id start investing it or buy a house and start making payments on it instead of a car. Hope it all works out for you though!!

If your making 50k per year.. & your credit report only shows monthly bills for $675.. theres no way that you would need a co-signer!!! Whats the rest of this story??

Ummm... if your dad has the authority to make such decisions, I'm assuming youre either a minor, or still living with him/in some way financially dependent on him.

If thats the case, he's right. I wouldn't let my kid blow a huge wad on a sports car if I had any say in it.

Again, just assuming. We need some details here

eh, fvck'em. Fvck'em in the ear. :chuckles:

Just grab a Miata and the little Greddy turbo kit. That will be a cheap, quick, and good handling drop-top until you can afford an S2k by yourself.
