rota shatters at 20mph

i slid a TL into the curb at over 25mph. the stock wheels were just scratched up.
it was just the whole front suspension that needed to be redone.

If you lock your wheels, that means one or two spokes are going to take the brunt of the impact, whereas with a rotating wheel you hope to spread it out over 5 or 6 spokes. No one spoke can handle that much impact.

Aluminum really doesn't like to bend. No cast wheel is going to hold up to a curb he hit (it looks to be high, look at the chunk out of his bumper). You get what you pay for.

i slid into a curb going 45 in my altima, it cost about 3,600 bucks to fix all the damage the whole wheel got knocked into the fender wall, bent the fender, and wouldnt let the passenger side door open, but all it did was bend my steelie a little. my hubcap did go flyin about 60 feet though.

Steel and aluminum are two very different metals. Especially cast.

yeah i know there is a difference, and magnesium wheels on the vettes are even worse from what i hear, oh well still gettin C8's soon.
