Default Nail in tire.. is it fixable?

i just noticed that there was a nail in my tire.. is this fixable in this location?

take it to discount tire and see if they can fix it...

i used to work at a tire shop...looks repairable to me. i won't be surprised if they try to sell you a new tire though...the edge looks worn down.

yes it can be repaired


$10 - go to walmart - but a plug kit.

plug only: the worst method by far..the tire loses its speed rating and it will probably develop a slow leak.

inner patch: $12-15. better than a plug, the most common repair available.

inner patch + plug: the best solution, doesnt compromise the speed rating...but hardly any shops do it.

dunno if it's the same deal in NV, but Discount Tire charged $10 to repair a flat caused by a screw in one of my 225/40-18 using the patch+plug solution. Tire never acted up at all when I autocrossed on them.

3 months later I picked up a nail in another tire; they repaired it using the patch+plug, but charged me $0.00 I'll get my $10 back if I ever buy tires from them

Too bad my other 2 were destroyed

Wheel Works charges like $25 :ugh: i dont even know what method they use. but if you apply for their credit card, its free :dunno:
