Let see: since when did a Z3 = rice?
If my car going 90mph all the time, then I can't get lo aluminum spolers?
And if I have some sponsors, then my car will have stickers, it means I'm rice?
What's wrong with Clearn Corners?
Stock Mirrors = Rice?
No cf hood = Rice?
Full body kit instead = rice
SUV + 20" chrome = rice?
Those terms are too generally riced out. So if something become too play out, then it means that it's rice? So if many people keep saying rice this rice that, then would it mean they themselves = rice too?
About Rice = Show only, some people chose to go visual over performance wise. Yet that person has great knowledge bout cars including performance but doesn't feel the need for it. So that person = rice?
What if someone with no knowledge of whatever but had plenty of money and want to make their ride the best. At the end, the car came out to be look really good and has great performance. Then is that person rice or not?
I admit that there are times we see people "fix up" their cars and yet they look hideous and uglier than the original. Only then the term rice is "suitable". But please, DO NOT GENERALIZE TERMS.
To those that do no know what rice mean, and by generalize them, you just showed them the wrong way to view people.

Its more a mentality than it is an appearance..the term rice is so overused it has lost al meaning really.
Usually people tag show only cars as rice since most of us here are into a cleaner look (lots of JDM freaks here) but it doesn't mean all show cars are rice.

Wow a lot of you guys have lost your roots in the import scene.
The term "ricer" originated from people calling anyone with a modified asian imported car. Whether it was tastfully done or not, if it was a fixed up honda, toyota, mitsu, kia, etc... it was considered a "rice rocket". The term "ricer" originated from the term "rice rocket". If you were the driver/owner of a rice rocket you were considered a ricer. As the import scene grew bigger the term rice rocket and ricer became more loosely used. Now a days people use the word rice to describe anything done to a car that has poor taste to thier eyes.
I remember back in the days I hung out with the younger siblings of the import car owners. They are pretty much the Pioneers of import street racing in SD. We always looked up to those guys and they have influenced us younger siblings (new genereation) to get into cars. I remember them using the term rice rocket and it being meant as a honda on steelies. Back in the days if you were running 14's you were the shit. So yeah guys before you go off telling this guy what ricer means, go back to your roots and try to remember where it all came from.
